Create a stunning moment of impossible prediction with Monuments Prediction, a beautifully structured mentalism routine designed for stage and parlour performances.
The performer begins by displaying a large board. On one side of the board is a transparent pocket holding a giant card. The performer explains that this card contains a prediction.
The board is then turned around to reveal four transparent pockets numbered 1–2–3–4, each containing a playing-card sized card. All cards are facing down.
The performer removes the four cards and shows their faces to the audience. Each card displays a famous monument of the world:
Eiffel Tower (Paris)
Pyramids of Egypt
Leaning Tower of Pisa
Statue of Liberty
The cards are clearly shown and then turned face down. They are thoroughly mixed, ensuring that no one knows which card is which — not even the performer.
The cards are then placed back into the four numbered pockets.
Now the board is turned around again and attention is drawn to the giant prediction card that has been visible from the very beginning.
A spectator is invited to participate. They are asked to freely choose any number from 1 to 4. They can even change their mind before making their final decision.
Once the number is decided, the card from that pocket is removed and turned over.
Let’s say it reveals The Statue of Liberty.
The performer now removes the giant prediction card from the board and slowly turns it around…
It shows The Statue of Liberty as well!
The prediction perfectly matches the spectator’s choice.
